104th PA Swamp Angel Reunion Badge
Excellent badge for the 1908 Reunion in Doylestown, PA of the famed 104th Pennsylvania Regiment.
In late 1862, the 104th was transferred south to serve in several campaigns including the siege of Charleston, S.C. and the attack on Fort Wagner. The famous (infamous?) “Swamp Angel” cannon used in the bombardment of Charleston was constructed by the regiment and is featured on the badges celleloid drop.
