W. Virginia Civil War Medal to
7th Cavalry Officer
Excellent with original ribbon and correct rim impressed naming to William P. Tyree, 2nd Lieutenant, 7th Regiment W. Va. Cavalry. Tyree enlisted on 12/25/1861 as a Sergeant in the 8th WV Mounted Infantry, Co. H. In February 1864 the 8th became the 7th W. Virginia Cavalry and shortly after was promoted to 2nd Lt. He Mustered Out on 8/1/1865 at Charleston, WV.
