US Army Field Artillery First Class Gunner badge.
The Army Field Artillery qualification badge
was created in the fall of 1904 and was awarded until
1913. The badges were marked on the reverse to the unit recipient by number. Rock Island Arsenal initially marked the reverse of the FA badge with just the Battery number but after the July 1907 reorganization, with the Battery letter and the Regimental number. The soldier’s number in the battery is marked as well. This example, 1907-13, is awarded to
F BATTERY   3RD FIELD ARTILLERY   NO. 33
Overall excellent but the pin has broken from the fittings.
