Massachusetts Minuteman Medal to WIA Artillery Officer
Excellent condition and correctly rim impressed naming to
Jacob Federhen Corpl 1st Lt. Batt.
Federhan/Federhen was from Boston and enlisted at age 23 on 4/20/1861 as a Corporal in the 1st Mass. Light Artillery. He continued his enlistment after the initial three months. Promoted to Qtr Master Serg 8/28/1861, 2nd Lieut 9/23/1861, and to 1st Lieut 9/21/1862. He was Wounded 5/10/1864 Spotsylvania Court House, VA Lt. Federhen mustered out on 10/19/1864.
