WWI RFC Canadian Pilots 'Maternity Blouse'
Unnamed, excellent condition throughout with correct and original insignia. The trousers are heavy whipcord material, the Sam Browne belt also correct WWI era as is the side cap with badge and RFC buttons. The Blouse has the period attached RFC pilots wing and shoulder strap rank wartime original to the blouse.
I find no sign of any name or service numbers inside. When I acquired the uniform, it was orally attributed to "Robert Duff" but unresearched and I have no provenance. But researching the name reveals that Robert William Duff enlisted from Virginia and served from RFC Toronto. Research notes several training squadrons with no wartime unit noted after he shipped to the Middle East and at some point is became a PoW.
