Panzer Enlisted man’s M36 Service Blouse
This blouse, without straps, was sold by Mike Davis, Virtual Grenadier some time back. It is an excellent, as worn, Panzer EM's blouse with possibly restored insignia.
A standard issue blouse of early field grade wool, lined in ribbed cotton, depot stamped M39, maker and size marked. It has been professionally period altered for size: shortened and taken in on the sides. The dark green collar has panzer pink branch of service bars machine applied and a neatly hand applied flatware breast eagle. the bars are correct and the eagle is a wartime upgrade from the original factory bevo eagle, both may be postwar sewn. There are loops for three badges on the left breast pocket and interestingly one set of loops on the right breast pocket. In fair open disclosure, a wehrmacht forum expert (Jaquelin), without inspection or detailed photo's has pronounced these loops added. No one who has handled the uniform agrees and I assume the vet earned the Spanish Cross. The shoulder straps are a matched pair of panzer pink piped slip on originals. Light overall wear and a small moth bite to the back but no rips, tears or other damage.
