Tennessee Air Service Officers Service Binoculars
An excellent condition set of binoculars in solid original compass top case with the Officers information neatly inked inside. George Caldwell Furrow (8-28-1888 - 3-21-58) served in the Tenn. National Guard prior to WWI. He was commissioned a First Lt. in the Army Sir Service on 11-14-17 and soon after earned his Aviator wings and promotion to Captain. He served as Commanding officer at Aberdeen Proving Grounds and then Luke Field, Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii and as a flight instructor. He retired a Major 06-29-48.
This is an excellent condition pair with full straps, no damage, and clear optics. Not mint but I seldom find these this nice.
