10th Panzer Regt assault badge group
Panzer Unteroffizier Willi Guddat. enlisted in 1938 and served on several fronts with the 10th Panzer Regiment. He was severely wounded in action and served as a tank instructor at Bergan-Belsen while recuperating. Returning to the 10th Panzer Jager Regiment. He surrendered to the Russians with his unit in Czechoslovakia. Escaping post war Russian captivity, Guddat eventually served in the Bundeswehr with the 10th Panzer Division at Sigmaringen.
Included are his original document for the Panzer Asssault Badge in Silver (nice but edge chip), wartime portrait photo’s in black panzer wrap and his tank, his Wurster stamped unmarked Panzer Assault badge, and the highlight to me is a hand written letter dated in 1970 detailing his service translated into English!
